e-Mersion employees not being paid

Also from the now deleted blog.

I woke up this morning to several messages from e-Mersion employees with complaints that they weren’t paid last week. If you’re affected and have further details to share please let me know as I am working on a longer exposé.

Here are three things I have been able to confirm:

  • The staff who remain were not paid and were not warned ahead of time, and this isn’t the first time.
  • At least five staff members who have resigned in resent months have not been paid at all and have not had any of their entitlements paid out. These cases have all been reported to the Australian employment ombudsman.
  • Employees past and present have not had their ‘superannuation’ paid in over a year. This is a legal employer requirement in Australia and is equivalent to 10.5% of their wages, not unlike our workplace pensions.
